
1. Why a manufactured stone business?
There is a huge demand for manufactured stone and not enough producers. Profit margins are tremendous. No experience is needed and a minimal investment would get you started.
2. Who will be my customers?
Home owners, contractors, masons, building suppliers, lawn and landscaping businesses, architects, just to name a few.
3. Is prior experience required?
No prior experience is needed. With your mold purchase we will provide an in depth instructional DVD covering every step to making beautiful manufactured stone.
4. What type of building space is required or needed?
Your manufacturing facility should have at least 900 sq.ft. of floor space per 100 sq.ft. of molds.
5. How do I get my molds?
We ship all orders by Con-Way Transportation carriers (freight costs are additional). We can ship an alternate carrier if you request.
6. Where do I purchase my raw materials and other equipment needed?
Most materials can be purchased locally, if there is not a supplier we will help you find the closest supplier to you. In training we will provide you with a list of suppliers for certain materials.
7. Who installs the stone?
We can guide you to installing the stone or you may hire a local mason to install it for you. Installation is not a required service to opening the business.
8.What is the life span of the molds?
Our molds will last approximately 5 to 7 years is used with proper care. We have customers with molds in production that are 12 years old. A recycling program is available for old or unwanted molds.
9. How durable is manufactured stone?
It is made from cement, lightweight aggregate, and pigmentation making it durable and lightweight.
10. What are the molds made of?
Our molds are made from a MRU Compound, it’s a soft flexible rubber. MRU Compound is a premium pourable material with a casting quality similar to a silicon in which makes a soft flexible product.
